El Paso Art Museum is really awesome! It was a great surprise! Something for everybody! One of the current exhibitions shows Wayne Hilton artworks.

I was amazed by the variety of the colorful, richly ornamented dresses on the particular skeletons! Every detail was so carefully created. No question, Mexico is the place, where you easily find some colorful skeleton, decorated with colorful flowers.  Wayne Hilton’s works completely give back the traditional Día de Los Muertos celebration atmosphere but he finds the way to bring something special: his skeletons have their own personalities.

On the first level the first impression was the Statue of Liberty by Luis Jimenez. I really love his interpretation!

The next intensively eye-catching artwork is a woman laying in swimming dress. This hyper-realistic sculpture is like a magnet: the 3-dimensional beauty attract everybody!

And then the biggest surprise: the amazingly rich baroque and renaissance collection! I never thought before, I will see a Filippino Lippi painting after a baseball match in New Mexico!…but actually…it happened!
